How we pick tools
Every tool here is reviewed by a human and organised by the job you're trying to get done. Here's exactly how that works.
Conversion Gems is a directory that helps you decide, not just discover. We list tools that solve a real job, review each one against a consistent rubric, and organise them by task, role, and category so you can find the right fit fast.
1. What gets listed
A tool qualifies when it does a clear, useful job for marketers, founders, creators, or operators — and when we can verify it is a real, working product. There is no pay-to-list and no sponsored placement. An affiliate program has zero bearing on whether a tool appears or where it ranks.
2. How we review
Each tool is reviewed by a person, not auto-generated and left alone. We capture what it actually does, who it is best for, where it falls short (our "Not good for" notes), realistic pricing, and how it compares to the obvious alternatives. We categorise it by the task it performs rather than by buzzwords.
3. How ratings work
Community ratings are aggregated from independent review sources. We only display a rating when a source has a meaningful sample — at least five real reviews — and we recompute the score across just the sources that clear that bar. If a tool has no source with enough reviews, we show no rating rather than a misleading one.
4. How we rank
Within a category, ranking reflects merit and fit for the job — not who pays us. We favour tools with a clear use case, honest pricing, and credible independent feedback.
5. How we stay honest
We use affiliate links to fund the time it takes to review tools and keep the directory free. This never changes a review or a ranking — see our affiliate disclosure. Data is kept current, contradictory or outdated entries get fixed, and tools that no longer qualify get removed. See what we reject for where we draw the line.
