Knowt — an AI-powered study platform that transforms notes, PDFs, lectures, and videos into interactive study materials.
Knowt turns class material into study sets: upload a PDF, slides, a video or a lecture recording and it drafts notes, flashcards and quizzes. Its free plan is broad, with unlimited sets and every study mode on your own material, and it markets itself as a free Quizlet alternative. AI summaries are where the free plan stops: one per month before you need Ultra.
Knowt's integration of AI to automate study material creation addresses a common student pain point, making it a valuable tool for efficient learning.
Advanced AI features and unlimited usage require a paid subscription.

Knowt for teachers and schools
Teachers can use Knowt free for up to 20 files, with unlimited AI for their students on the files they share. Teacher Ultra ($199.99 a year) removes the file limit and adds Google Classroom and Canvas integration.
Knowt supports Google, Microsoft, Clever and ClassLink sign-in, and rostering through Clever and ClassLink on school licences. Knowt says it is FERPA, COPPA and New York Ed Law 2-d compliant and signs district data privacy agreements at no cost; after a DPA, students in that organisation see no ads.
