It is freemium, with a perpetual free tier plus a 30-day enterprise trial. Rapid7 is gradually steering customers toward InsightVM (its cloud-based successor) and the newer Exposure Command platform, but Nexpose continues to receive active maintenance updates (v8.9.1, June 2025).
