What it really is
Teal — an AI-powered job search platform with an ATS-optimized resume builder at its core.
Our take
Teal works as a job-search workspace: a resume builder with job-description matching, AI bullets, summaries and cover letters, plus a job tracker and a Chrome extension. The free plan is generous on the basics, with unlimited resumes, unlimited job tracking and unlimited PDF downloads. AI writing and full keyword matching are limited until you pay for Teal+.
Why we rate it
The free plan covers the full basics of a job search, from resume versions and PDF downloads to job tracking, and Teal+ is sold in short periods so you only pay while you are applying.
The catch
Free AI credits are small (10 bullets, 2 summaries, 2 cover letters). The weekly Teal+ option costs more per day than the 30- or 90-day options, and there is no annual plan.
Best for
Active job seekers juggling 20+ applications at once
Career changers who need to tailor resumes for each role
Passive job seekers who apply to one role every few months
Users who need auto-apply or AI-driven mass applications
Enterprise HR teams building hiring pipelines (this is candidate-side only)
Friction report
Time to value
Fast: free account gets you a resume draft and job tracker in under 10 minutes; no credit card required.
Scale breakpoint
AI credit limits on the free plan cap resume tailoring per month; Teal+ removes most ceilings but the tool remains single-user by design.
Walled garden
Moderate: resumes download as PDF, but job tracking data and match scores stay inside Teal.
