What it really is
A browser-based live audio studio for connecting remote guests in high quality, with optional multitrack recording and a video tier for film and TV.
Our take
Cleanfeed does one job well: a clean, low-latency audio link to people who are not in the room, set up from a link. The free Lite plan is generous because it allows commercial use and unlimited recording, so many solo hosts never need to pay. Pro earns its fee when you need more than 2 guests, stereo or a separate track per person. It is not a podcast suite: there is no video below Cinema, and recordings live in the host's browser until saved.
Why we rate it
A free tier that works for paid work, plus a Pro plan with 32 guests and per-guest tracks that you can cancel monthly.
The catch
Hosting needs Chrome on a computer, Lite is 2 guests in mono, recordings are stored in the browser, and video needs the $2,500-a-year Cinema plan.
Best for
Remote radio and podcast interviews
Directed voice-over and ADR sessions
Solo hosts with one or two guests
Not good for
Video podcasts
Teams that want editing and hosting in one tool
Friction report
Time to value
Minutes: open the studio in Chrome and send guests a link.
Scale breakpoint
More than 2 guests, stereo or separate tracks require Pro.
Walled garden
Low: recordings save to the host's own computer.
