Our take

HICAPS combines on-the-spot health fund claiming and EFTPOS in one terminal. HICAPS says it works with 100% of Australian private health insurers, plus Medicare Easyclaim, overseas visitor claims and some government schemes. There is no fee for health fund or Medicare Easyclaim transactions; you pay the terminal rental and a card processing fee. HICAPS Digital fees depend on who you are claiming from.
