QuickBooks Time, formerly TSheets, is Intuit's time tracking app for hourly and field teams: staff clock in by phone or kiosk and approved hours flow into QuickBooks payroll. Time Premium costs $20 a month plus $10 per user and Time Elite $40 a month plus $12 per user, after a 30-day free trial.
TSheets is now QuickBooks Time, and it is moving into QuickBooks Online
Intuit agreed to acquire TSheets in December 2017 and renamed it QuickBooks Time in 2021.
Intuit says classic QuickBooks Time customers are moving to QuickBooks Online in phases starting September 2026, and that the classic site at tsheets.intuit.com will be retired in the following months.

What it really is
Intuit's time tracking and scheduling app (formerly TSheets) that feeds hours into QuickBooks payroll.
Our take
QuickBooks Time does the core job well: staff clock in on a phone or kiosk, managers approve timesheets, and hours land in QuickBooks payroll without retyping. Pricing is a base fee plus a per-user fee, so a 25-person crew pays mostly for seats. The bigger 2026 question is the move into QuickBooks Online, which will change where your team signs in.
Why we rate it
It removes manual timesheet entry for QuickBooks payroll users, and the free trial is long enough to test a full pay cycle.
The catch
Seat fees scale with headcount, key field features need Elite, and classic QuickBooks Time is being retired in favor of QuickBooks Online.
Best for
Small businesses running QuickBooks payroll
Hourly and field teams clocking in by phone
Shops that want a shared time kiosk
Not good for
Teams that do not use QuickBooks and want the lowest per-seat price
Contractors needing deep job costing and equipment tracking
Anyone who needs geofencing on the cheaper plan
Friction report
Time to value
Low: add employees, install the Workforce app and start the 30-day trial.
Scale breakpoint
Every added user adds $10 or $12 a month on top of the base fee.
Walled garden
Moderate: built around QuickBooks; Intuit lists more than 50 other accounting and payroll apps it connects to.
