What it really is

Vizard — AI-powered long-video-to-short-clips repurposing platform.

Our take

Vizard's core strength is automatically detecting the best moments in long recordings—podcasts, webinars, interviews—and rendering them as captioned, aspect-ratio-correct short clips for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. The DB category 'Social Media & Scheduling' understates its identity: scheduling is a secondary feature; AI repurposing is the product. Entry pricing is also lower than the DB's $29/mo—annual Creator billing lands at roughly $14.50/mo, and there is a genuine free tier with 60 upload minutes per month.

Why we rate it

Vizard nails the upload-and-go repurposing loop: long video in, social-ready clips out, captions and reframe included. The free tier is genuinely usable for testing the workflow, and the REST API being available on Creator (not locked to Enterprise) is unusually generous.

The catch

Credit caps become a real constraint for high-volume producers—600 min/mo on Creator goes fast if you publish daily. Storage is limited to 3 days on the free plan, and raw editing depth is shallow compared with dedicated NLEs or Descript.

Best for
Podcasters and webinar hosts repurposing long recordings into short-form clips
Social media managers scaling short-form video output without manual editing
Content agencies needing branded clip templates and team collaboration
Not good for
Complex, multi-track video productions requiring a full NLE
Teams needing advanced video analytics or A/B creative testing
Users requiring offline or desktop-first editing workflows
Friction report
Time to value
Fast: upload a video, get AI-generated clips in minutes with captions and reframing applied automatically.
Scale breakpoint
Monthly upload-minute caps constrain high-volume producers; Business per-seat costs add up quickly for larger teams.
Walled garden
Moderate: video exports and downloads are available, but posting schedules, brand kits, and clip workflows live entirely inside Vizard.
