Dagster+ (formerly Dagster Cloud) is the managed version for data engineering and ML teams. Dagster is now part of Prefect

On 13 July 2026 Dagster Labs and Prefect announced that Prefect is acquiring Dagster Labs, including the Dagster product, codebase and customer relationships. The combined company is expected to operate under the Prefect name from August 2026.

Dagster keeps its name and open-source license, and Dagster+ remains a supported commercial product. The announcement says existing deployments, contracts, pricing and support are unchanged.
