What it really is
An enterprise applicant tracking system with candidate CRM, career sites, onboarding and AI matching, sold by quote.
Our take
iCIMS is one of the established enterprise ATS platforms, and its product list shows it: ATS, candidate CRM, career sites, chatbot, text recruiting, onboarding and a large integration marketplace. That breadth suits large employers that hire constantly and connect hiring to an HCM. The trade-offs are quote-only pricing, a sales-led rollout, and a candidate experience where every employer portal needs its own login.
Why we rate it
It covers the full hiring cycle in one platform and connects to the HCM systems large employers already run.
The catch
No public pricing, sales-led setup, and candidates must create a separate login for every employer that uses iCIMS.
Best for
Enterprise talent acquisition teams
High-volume employers such as retail and hospitality
Companies integrating hiring with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors or ADP
Not good for
Small businesses hiring a few roles a year
Buyers who want transparent self-serve pricing
Teams without someone to administer the system
Friction report
Time to value
Slow: demo, quote and implementation come before the first requisition.
Scale breakpoint
Adding modules such as Engage or Employer Branding changes the quote.
Walled garden
Moderate: integrations are broad, but workflows and candidate history live in iCIMS.

Frequently Asked Questions
Employers use iCIMS to run hiring: posting jobs, tracking applicants, scheduling interviews, sending offers and onboarding new hires. It also offers candidate CRM, career sites and AI matching. Candidates meet it when they apply on an employer's career site.
iCIMS stands for Internet Collaborative Information Management Systems. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Holmdel, New Jersey. Vista Equity Partners has owned it since 2018.
Conversion Gems is a review site and cannot sign you in. As a candidate, you sign in on the career portal of the company you applied to, using 'Log Back In'. iCIMS says each employer portal has its own login name and password, with no shared login. Employees should use the iCIMS link their company provides.
The most common reason is using a login from a different employer, because every company's iCIMS portal has separate credentials. Use the 'Forgot Your Password?' link on that company's portal; for anything else, contact that employer's recruiting team.
iCIMS does not publish prices. Its site offers a demo request, and pricing is quoted by sales based on your needs (checked 4 October 2026).
iCIMS says more than 4,400 companies across 200 countries use it, including a quarter of the Fortune 500. Its product pages name customers such as ADT, Sheetz, SiriusXM, Tractor Supply and The Cheesecake Factory.
