Nextiva

Nextiva is cloud business phone and customer experience software; NEXT Core is $15 per user a month on a 12-month term, $23 on monthly billing.

Our take: Nextiva is open about its per-user prices on both billing bases and about its contract terms, which is useful because the $15 figure depends on a 12-month term.

One line each. Open a row for detail.

What it really isA cloud business phone and customer experience platform that sells voice, video, texting and shared inboxes as per-user NEXT plans for small teams, plus quoted contact center plans and an AI call assistant.
Our takeNextiva is open about its per-user prices on both billing bases and about its contract terms, which is useful because the $15 figure depends on a 12-month term.
Add-ons, XBert AI usage and number porting add steps, so ask what the full bill and the exit terms look like before signing.
Why we rate itPlan prices, plan limits and legal terms are public, but the best price needs a 12-month term and several features are add-ons or usage-priced.
The catchThe annual price needs a 12-month term, services auto-renew with 30 days' notice, and the pricing page's Cancel anytime line sits beside a minimum-term footnote.

Trade-offs

Friction report

Trade-offs to know before signing up.

  1. Time to value
Nextiva says setup can be same day with the NextivaONE app, but local number ports take 3 to 5 business days and commercial texting needs A2P 10DLC registration.
  2. Scale breakpoint
Core includes 100 texts per user and 50 AI items, Engage 500 and 200, and Scale is unlimited; contact center Professional and Premium are quoted.
  3. Walled garden
Toll-free numbers, virtual fax and XBert AI are add-ons or usage-priced, desk phones are bought separately, and service terms renew automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Nextiva cost?

Nextiva's pricing page lists NEXT Core at $15 per user a month, NEXT Engage at $25 and NEXT Scale at $75 in its default annual view, in US dollars; switching to monthly billing shows $23, $50 and $75. The page says the annual small-business pricing applies to new customers with 1 to 100 employees signing a paid term of 12 months or longer. Add-ons such as a toll-free number on Core are billed separately, XBert AI is $1.50 per conversation on the plans, and the contact center plan Essential starts at $75 per agent a month (checked 3 November 2026).

Does Nextiva require a contract?

The annual prices do: Nextiva's pricing page ties them to a paid minimum term of 12 months or longer, and its Master Terms say services renew for terms of the same length unless you give notice at least 30 days before the term ends. Its Cancellation Policy says month-to-month cancellations take effect on the last day of the first billing period at least 30 days after notice, and that a minimum commitment contract makes you responsible for all charges for the whole term. The pricing page also says Cancel anytime beside the prices, so ask which term applies before you sign. The Master Terms and Cancellation Policy both show Last Updated July 23, 2024, which is older than the NEXT plan names on the pricing page (checked 3 November 2026; legal pages re-read on 4 November 2026).

What is Nextiva and what is NextivaONE?

Nextiva sells a cloud business phone and customer experience platform, and its Master Terms name the contracting company as Nextiva, Inc., a Delaware corporation with a Scottsdale, Arizona notice address. NextivaONE is the app that runs on Mac, Windows, iOS and Android plus a browser app, and Nextiva's pricing page now names the small-business plans NEXT Core, Engage and Scale. Its home page and a NEXT Platform page present the platform as NEXT (re-read on 4 November 2026).

Can I keep my phone number when I switch to Nextiva?

Yes, Nextiva says it ports existing numbers for free, with local numbers typically transferring in 3 to 5 business days and toll-free numbers in 7 to 10. Its Business Voice page also says commercial text messages need A2P 10DLC registration through the admin portal. If you later leave, its Cancellation Policy says you must email service@nextiva.com to cancel after a port-out completes, or you remain a customer.

How does Nextiva compare with Aircall and Comcast Business VoiceEdge?

Nextiva publishes per-user prices for its small-business plans and quotes its higher contact center plans, while Comcast Business sells VoiceEdge, a cloud-hosted PBX service, through a Request a quote button. Aircall's home page describes calls, SMS and messaging in one place on an AI-powered platform, with native CRM and help desk integrations and a Try for free button. Conversion Gems read no price for Aircall or VoiceEdge, so it names no winner.

How do I log in to Nextiva?

Conversion Gems is a review site and cannot sign anyone in to Nextiva. Nextiva's Log In menu lists NextivaONE at https://authenticate.nextiva.com/AccountValidation/login.action and an Other Logins link to its help article How to Login to Nextiva (https://help.nextiva.com/article/how-to-login-to-nextiva), which says the steps vary by product. Conversion Gems only read those pages and did not sign in.
