What it really is
Lessonly's training, practice and coaching tool, now sold as part of Seismic.
Our take
Lessonly built its name on a lesson builder that anyone on a team could use, plus practice scenarios that let reps rehearse before real calls. Under Seismic, that core remains and has been extended with AI role-play, assessments and readiness scorecards. The fit is best for revenue and support teams that train often and want managers to see who is ready. The trade-off is buying from an enterprise vendor: no public prices, a demo-led sale, and coaching plans sold as an add-on.
Why we rate it
It puts lessons, realistic practice and readiness tracking in one tool built for customer-facing teams.
The catch
Opaque, sales-led pricing and add-on coaching make the total cost hard to estimate.
Best for
Sales onboarding
Support and frontline training
Certifying reps before customer calls
Not good for
Small teams wanting a self-serve plan
General course authoring
Buyers who need published prices
Friction report
Time to value
Moderate: demo and contract first, then lessons can be built quickly.
Scale breakpoint
Adding coaching plans or Seismic Content means separate purchases.
Walled garden
Medium: imports SCORM and xAPI, but practice data and scorecards live in Seismic.
