CloudBeaver is a web-based database manager from the makers of DBeaver that lets a team query and edit databases from a browser. The Community edition is free and open source, and you host it yourself. CloudBeaver Enterprise costs $205 per user per year with a 5-user minimum, so $1,025 a year, after a 14-day trial with no credit card.

The bottom line

Free browser SQL for teams that can host it; Enterprise is fairly priced once you need SSO and audit.

What it really is

A self-hosted web SQL client that gives a whole team browser access to shared database connections.

Our take

Start with the free Community edition in Docker; for many teams that is enough to stop passing around database passwords and desktop setups. Move to Enterprise when you need SSO, audit logs or the AI assistant, and price it at a minimum of 5 seats. Plan who will patch and secure the server, because that job is yours.

Why we rate it

A free, open-source browser SQL client from an established database tool maker, with published Enterprise prices.

The catch

You run and secure the server, and Enterprise starts at 5 seats.

Best for
Shared database access for dev teams
Self-hosted environments
Teams needing SSO and query audit (Enterprise)
Not good for
Solo developers wanting a local client
Teams with no one to run a server
Building internal apps
Friction report
Time to value
One Docker command gets a server running; connections and users need admin setup.
Scale breakpoint
SSO, audit logs and the AI assistant need Enterprise at $205 per user per year.
Walled garden
Low: open source, and it works on your existing databases.
