EZ Texting is a text-message marketing platform from CallFire, Inc., which trades as EZ Texting and says it was founded in San Francisco in 2004. Its US pricing page lists Launch at $25 a month ($20 billed annually), Boost at $75 ($60) and Scale at $125 ($100), each with 500 monthly credits, and Enterprise from $3,000 a month with 200,000 credits. The US page shows no free plan, Launch is subject to a $5 monthly Telecom Fee, and a 14-day trial needs no credit card (checked 2 November 2026).

The bottom line

A simple texting tool for small lists whose real monthly cost depends on how many credits you send, so estimate credits before comparing headline prices.

What it is, and why we rate it

One line each. Open a row for detail.

What it really isA browser-based business texting platform that sells SMS and MMS credits, with plans sized by contact list and an annual billing option.
Our takeEZ Texting lists the numbers that set the bill: plan prices, overage rates and credit rules.
Launch is $25 a month with 500 credits, one user and a $5 Telecom Fee, so the bill grows through credit overage and extra seats more than through the plan name. The 14-day trial lets you load contacts and send tests to your own phone; sending to your list needs a paid plan.
Why we rate itPlan prices, overage rates and credit rules are published, but the 500-credit allowance is small for lists above a few hundred contacts.
The catchCredits, not plans, drive the bill: Launch has a $5 Telecom Fee, extra seats cost $10 a month and annual credits expire after 12 months.

Best / not good for

Best for
  • Small businesses texting a few hundred opted-in contacts
  • Nonprofits and local organizations that want free inbound messages
  • Senders who want carrier registration handled inside the plan
Not good for
  • Large lists texted often, where overage can exceed the plan price
  • Teams that need several logins on one plan price
  • Buyers who want a permanent free plan in the US
Trade-offs

Friction report

Trade-offs to know before signing up.

  1. Time to value
EZ Texting says most accounts send a first message within five minutes of registering. A2P 10DLC approval can take longer, though EZ Texting says most approvals return within 24 hours, and Launch, Boost and Scale list setup within 1 business day.
  2. Scale breakpoint
EZ Texting recommends Launch for up to 500 contacts and Boost for 500 to 2,000; at 50,000 or more contacts the page points to Enterprise from $3,000 a month with a 4 to 12 week setup.
  3. Walled garden
Annual credits expire 12 months after purchase, subscriptions renew automatically, and a cancellation less than 1 business day before the billing date does not take effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is EZ Texting a month?

On the US pricing page, EZ Texting costs $25 a month on Launch, $75 on Boost and $125 on Scale when billed monthly, or $20, $60 and $100 a month when billed annually, with Enterprise listed from $3,000 a month. The page recommends Launch for up to 500 contacts, Boost for 500 to 2,000 and Scale for 2,000 to 50,000 (all plans allow unlimited contact uploads), and each includes 500 credits a month (6,000 a year on annual billing); Enterprise includes 200,000 monthly credits. Launch is subject to a $5 monthly Telecom Fee, and the page does not say whether the $25 already includes it. Sales tax may apply. The page shows no promo code; the discounts it lists are annual billing (up to 20%) and bundled credit discounts at checkout (checked 2 November 2026).

Does EZ Texting charge fees beyond the plan price?

Yes, on several items. Launch carries a $5 monthly Telecom Fee that covers mandatory carrier fees and is waived on Boost, Scale and Enterprise. Each plan includes one user, and extra seats cost $10 a month per user. Sending beyond your credits costs $0.04 (Launch), $0.035 (Boost), $0.03 (Scale) or $0.01 (Enterprise) per credit, and an SMS uses 1 credit while an MMS uses 3. Standard A2P 10DLC carrier registration is free, while High-Volume Vetted registration has a one-time $90 fee that is waived on Scale; extra textable numbers cost more and the price is not published. Inbound messages are free, but a credit is used even when a message is not delivered (checked 2 November 2026).

Do EZ Texting credits expire?

Yes. On annual plans, credits are issued upfront and expire 12 months after purchase; EZ Texting's FAQ says the same for purchased credits, counted from the purchase date. On current standard monthly plans, unused credits roll over for one additional billing cycle while the subscription stays active, so they last up to two months, and rollover is not guaranteed on legacy or custom plans. One SMS of up to 160 characters uses 1 credit and one MMS uses 3, so 500 credits cover 500 SMS or about 166 MMS. Credits can be added at any time (checked 2 November 2026).

Is EZ Texting free?

Not on the US pricing page, which lists only paid plans. EZ Texting offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card and unlimited contacts, and its FAQ says test messages go to your own phone and sending to your contacts starts when you choose a plan. Its separate Canadian pricing page lists a free Basic plan with 100 free credits and no credit card, next to paid Plus, Select and Elite plans in US dollars, so the free option differs by country (checked 2 November 2026).

What is EZ Texting and who runs it?

Its terms of service (effective 19 May 2025) say the services are provided by CallFire, Inc. d/b/a EZ Texting, and its About page says it was founded in San Francisco in 2004, is headquartered there and is led by co-founder and CEO Vijesh Mehta.
