What it really is
IBM's SaaS unified endpoint management console for mixed mobile, desktop and IoT fleets, priced per device.
Our take
MaaS360 is one of the few enterprise UEM tools with prices on the page, and the trial converts straight into production. Most teams will land on Essentials or Deluxe; the secure browser and container only start at Premier. If you already pay for Microsoft 365 Business Premium or E3, check Intune first because it may cost you nothing extra.
Why we rate it
Broad OS coverage and transparent per-device pricing with a converting trial.
The catch
Advanced security sits in the two top tiers, and the discounted prices are a time-limited offer.
Best for
Mixed iOS, Android and Windows fleets
BYOD programs
Frontline and kiosk devices
Not good for
Microsoft 365 E3/E5 shops that already own Intune
Apple-only teams wanting an Apple-first tool
Friction report
Time to value
Trial sign-up in minutes; enrolling devices and policies takes longer.
Scale breakpoint
Needing a secure browser or threat management pushes you to Premier or Enterprise.
Walled garden
Low to medium: manages many OS types; add-ons include TeamViewer.

Yes, 30 days. IBM's docs say the trial account continues into production if you buy.
It depends on your licences. Intune Plan 1 is $8.00 per user a month standalone and is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, E3 and E5, so many Microsoft shops already own it. MaaS360 is priced per device and covers a similar range of operating systems.
IBM does not list reading text messages as a feature. What an employer can see or do, such as location or wiping, depends on the policies your IT team sets and whether your phone is company-owned or enrolled as BYOD, so ask your IT team.
