What it really is

A modular project controls suite for large capital construction projects, owned by the Kiewit family.

Our take

InEight is built for the contractor or owner running a large project where the estimate, the schedule and the cost report must agree. Its breadth is the draw: estimating, scheduling, change, contracts, documents and completions share data. The InEight NOW program makes it possible to try a single module without a sales cycle, but at $199 to $260 a month for Estimate or Schedule it is priced for professionals, and the integrated suite still needs a custom contract.

Why we rate it

Broad, connected modules for capital projects, cloud or on-premises Estimate, and published per-user prices for four modules.

The catch

The full suite is quote-only, NOW covers only four modules, and Estimate NOW is $260 per user a month on monthly terms.

Best for
Contractors on large infrastructure and industrial projects
Owners and program managers tracking cost and schedule
Estimating teams that want historical benchmarking
Not good for
Small residential builders and remodelers
Buyers who want a free trial before paying
Teams needing only PDF markup and takeoff
Friction report
Time to value
A single NOW module can start quickly with an Expert NOW session (Schedule); a full suite rollout is a project in itself.
Scale breakpoint
Adding modules beyond the four NOW products, or many users, moves you to custom enterprise pricing.
Walled garden
Medium: Estimate connects to Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Excel and APIs, but the value comes from staying inside InEight's modules.
