Instant Data Scraper is a free Chrome and Edge extension that finds the table or list on a web page and downloads it as CSV or Excel. It suits quick, one-off exports by non-coders. Since 2026 it has a new publisher whose privacy policy allows collecting and selling browsing data.
Instant Data Scraper has a new publisher
Web Robots built Instant Data Scraper. Its page dated 3 March 2026 says the extension is no longer owned, developed or supported by Web Robots, and the Chrome Web Store now lists Flavr Technology, LP as the developer.
Flavr Technology's privacy policy, last updated 30 July 2026, says the extension collects the URLs you visit, search results and shopping activity, sends them to its servers, and may sell these data categories to business customers.

What it really is
A free browser extension that turns the table or list on the page you are viewing into a spreadsheet.
Our take
For grabbing a directory listing or a results table once, few tools are faster: install, click, download. It has no scheduling, no cloud runs and no API, so repeat jobs stay manual. The bigger change is ownership. Web Robots no longer runs it, and the new publisher's privacy policy describes collecting browsing data and selling it in aggregated form, which many teams will not accept on work machines.
Why we rate it
It removes nearly all setup from small scraping jobs and handles pagination and infinite scroll.
The catch
The current publisher's privacy policy covers collecting and selling browsing, search and shopping data.
Best for
One-off exports of tables and lists
Non-coders building lead or candidate lists
Quick price or review snapshots
Not good for
Scheduled or large-scale scraping
Teams with strict browser privacy rules
Developers who need an API
Friction report
Time to value
Minutes: install the extension and click its icon on the page.
Scale breakpoint
Breaks down once you need schedules, logins at scale or thousands of pages.
Walled garden
Low: output is plain CSV or Excel files.
